Sanitary ball valve, also known as hygienic ball valve, is opened by turning the handle on the ball inside the valve.
There is a hole or port in the middle of the ball. When the port is aligned with both ends of the valve, flow occurs.
When the valve is closed, the hole is perpendicular to the end of the valve, and the flow is blocked.
